Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about my services, pricing, appointments, and the bonded title process.
Commissioned Notary Public & insured
My role & boundaries
Can you tell me which DMV form I need or how to fix my legal situation?
No. I am not an attorney and cannot give legal advice, select forms for you, or explain how to achieve a legal result. I am a clerical service: I type the information you provide into the forms you have already chosen.
Are you part of the Colorado DMV or USCIS?
No. Ayuda DMV is a private brand of Servicios Quintana LLC, run by me. I do not work for any government agency.
Appointments & service area
Do you take walk-ins?
No. I work by appointment only. Regular appointment hours are Monday–Friday, 10 AM – 7 PM. After-hours (+$20, 7 PM – 10 AM) and weekend (+$15) appointments are also available.
Which parts of Colorado do you serve?
In person: the Denver Metro area, from Loveland to Castle Rock. I can go farther for an added travel fee. Document preparation can be done remotely by phone, WhatsApp, or email from anywhere in Colorado. For in-person appointments I come to you (with a mobile fee) or we meet at a Community Hub.
What is a Community Hub?
Designated locations (Tienda Salvadoreña, MSU Denver, and any Denver Public Library branch) where I offer notary services at $10 per signature with no mobile fee. It's the most affordable way to use my services. Hub meetings are also by appointment only.
DMV document preparation
Why are there different prices for typing forms?
Pricing depends on complexity: simple forms $55, standard $65, and complex $75 (for example, out-of-state titles or multiple owners), because they take more time and cross-checking.
What do I need to give you to prepare my documents?
You must tell me the exact form you want and give me all the information to be entered. I do not choose the form for you. You review and approve the final document.
How long does it take?
Usually 1–2 business days after I receive all the information. Same-day rush (+$35) is available if I receive everything before 12 PM and my schedule allows.
Proxy & power of attorney
Can you go to the DMV in my place?
Yes. You sign Form DR 2175 (Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney) naming me and have it notarized. That temporarily authorizes me to submit your paperwork in person. See the proxy packages.
Can a family member or friend handle the DMV for me? Or can I act for someone else?
Yes. The owner signs the DR 2175 naming the person they trust, and I notarize it ($15 per signature, or $10 at a Community Hub). With the notarized form, that person can act on the owner's behalf. The owner decides who to name; I do not advise on that choice.
What is the difference between the proxy packages?
- Standard ($95–$165 typical): basic Colorado titles and registrations.
- Out-of-state ($185–$245 typical): complex transfers with dealers, lienholders, or multiple owners.
- Premium ($230–$310 typical): all of the above with priority and same-day coordination.
How long is the DR 2175 power of attorney valid?
It expires automatically on the date printed on the form.
Colorado bonded title
What do you do in the bonded title package?
Purely administrative preparation ($150): I prepare Forms DR 2489A (vehicle record request) and DR 2394 (Bond Statement Guide & In Lieu of Bond Affidavit), organize your DR 2704 VIN inspection paperwork, and format the certified mailings to prior owners of record. See the full package.
Can you tell me whether I need a bonded title?
No. Whether a bonded title is your correct legal option is a legal decision. For that, check with your county motor vehicle office, the Colorado DMV, or an attorney. I only prepare the paperwork once you have already decided.
What are the general steps?
The Colorado DMV sets the requirements; its official checklist is Form DR 2922. In general the file includes: a vehicle record request, certified-mail notices to prior owners, a certified VIN inspection (DR 2704), a vehicle appraisal, and a surety bond or, for certain older vehicles, an in-lieu-of-bond affidavit. Always confirm current requirements with your county motor vehicle office or at dmv.colorado.gov.
Do you sell or issue the surety bond?
No. Surety bonds are issued by a licensed surety company. You buy the bond directly from them and pay the premium.
Which costs are not included?
DMV and county fees, USPS certified mail postage, the surety bond premium, the VIN inspection, and the vehicle appraisal. You pay those directly.
How long does the process take?
My document prep usually takes 1–2 business days after I receive all your information. The overall process depends on the DMV, certified mail, and your county office, so I cannot guarantee a date.
Can I use this service if I live outside the Denver area?
Yes. I can prepare the package remotely for clients anywhere in Colorado by phone, WhatsApp, or email. In-person visits are in the Denver Metro area, from Loveland to Castle Rock.
Notary services
How much do notary services cost?
$15 per signature or seal, plus the mobile fee if I come to you. At a Community Hub it is $10 per signature with no mobile fee.
What should I bring to the appointment?
A valid, unexpired photo ID. All signers must be present and the document must be complete except for the signatures.
Can you explain the document I am signing?
No. As a notary I verify your identity and signature, but I cannot explain the document's legal content or advise you on whether to sign it.
Translations & passports
Are your translations accepted by USCIS and other agencies?
Every translation includes my signed certificate that it is complete and accurate and that I am competent to translate from Spanish to English, the format USCIS asks for. Final acceptance is always up to the receiving agency.
Can you submit my passport application for me?
No. First-time applicants (DS-11) must appear in person before a federal agent. With my Premium package I meet you at the facility as your bilingual companion.
Does your fee include the passport cost?
No. My fees cover my clerical and companion support. You pay the Department of State and acceptance facility fees separately.
Fees, payment & privacy
How is the mobile fee calculated?
It is charged once per appointment (not per signature), based on round-trip miles from Tienda Salvadoreña: $20 (up to 20 mi), $35 (21–35), $50 (36–50), $75 (51–75), and $1.35 per mile beyond 75. It is not set by Colorado law, and I always quote it in writing before the appointment.
What if you arrive and the signing can't happen?
If I arrive for a scheduled mobile appointment and the signing cannot proceed (for example, missing ID or absent signers), the mobile fee is non-refundable because it covers my time and travel.
How do I pay, and what is the cancellation policy?
100% upfront by cash, Venmo, Zelle, bank transfer (ACH), or card (credit card payments have a 2% processing surcharge; debit cards have none). Cancel or reschedule with 24+ hours’ notice and what you paid stays on your account as credit (it doesn’t expire). With less notice, or a no-show, I keep the deposit shown on your invoice (usually the mobile fee) and the rest is credit. If I cancel, you get a full refund.
How do you use AI with my data?
I use AI only as a clerical tool to organize and translate. I personally review every document and never enter your sensitive data (like SSNs or full addresses) into public AI systems.
